Willard R Van Nostrand, MD, MHM  (Dr. Van) is the new Medical Director for United Community Health Center. He began in August and is looking forward to working with the UCHC. He has spent his career as an emergency physician in southern Arizona and was the Past President of the Arizona College of Emergency Physicians. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees on the east coast, prior to moving to Tucson in 1972. He was a director of the “Green Valley Emergency Center” sponsored by St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson from 1983 to 1992. He has lived with his wife and pets in Sahuarita for the past 10 years and is active in the new Rotary Club of Sahuarita. He worked at the SCVRH from opening day in 2015 to the day it closed in June. He completed a Master of Healthcare Management degree in 2021 through the University of Arizona. 

Dr. Van is in the middle of a retraining program in order to be credentialed with the payers as a primary care physician.  He will soon be available to see UCHC patients.
