Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
Ki Slusher, DNP, PMHNP-BC
Ki Slusher is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who provides compassionate care for individuals ages 8 and older. She offers support and medication management for a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and substance use.
Ki grew up in a rural town and feels deeply connected to the communities she serves. She understands how hard it can be to ask for help, especially when resources are limited, and is proud to be part of a team working to expand access to quality mental health care in southern Arizona.
After serving in the United States Navy, Ki earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University and went on to complete her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Arizona. Before joining United Community Health Center, she worked for several years in inpatient psychiatry at the Southern Arizona VA.
Patients say Ki is easy to talk to, respectful, and truly cares. She takes time to listen and helps patients understand their options, so they can decide what works best for them. Ki believes care should be a team effort- where patients feel heard, supported, and never rushed. Her goal is to make sure treatment feels safe, clear, and comfortable.
Outside of work, Ki enjoys crocheting cozy blankets, perfecting her chocolate chip cookie recipe, and dreaming up her next travel adventure.
Ki Slusher currently sees patients at UCHC Green Valley Hospital and UCHC Three Points.
