Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner:
Ashley Holton, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C

Ashley Holton, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner. She began her career in healthcare working as a pharmacy technician at a community pharmacy in her hometown. Since then, she has logged approximately 16 years of experience in various areas of patient care, including laboratory technician, clinical nutrition research, nursing technician, registered nurse, and nurse practitioner in various locations nationwide.

In addition to her clinical experience, Ashley has an academic background that includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Master of Science degree in Biology from Jackson State University in Jackson, MS. She earned a Master of Nursing degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and she earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with an emphasis on Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Arizona. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the American Nurses Association (ANA), and the international honor society of nurses, Sigma Theta Tau.

Ashley has worked in primary care, managing chronic illness for the adolescent, adult, geriatric, and mentally ill populations. Her most recent experience was managing psychiatric patients as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in post-acute settings. She has strong nursing skills and endeavors
to provide the best healthcare experience for all her patients. She strives to build long-lasting and trusting provider-patient relationships focusing on continuity of care of mind and body.

Ashley has been a resident of Arizona for ten years. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling in her spare time.

Ashley is now available to see patients at UCHC at Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold Building.
